Sean Fitzpatrick, D.V.M.

Dr. Fitzpatrick’s interest in animals was fostered from a young age by his experiences growing up on a ranch in Sonora. He went on to complete his undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science as well as a minor in psychology. Dr. Fitzpatrick then enrolled in the University of California at Davis where he completed his postgraduate courses and received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1998. He has been in general practice ever since, where he has a strong interest in veterinary surgery and dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys cycling of all kinds, relaxing at home with his dogs, and he has been known to enjoy an occasional I.P.A.

Longhai Nguyen, D.V.M.

Dr. Nguyen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and went on to obtain his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 2004. Following graduation, he continued his studies by completing a year long internship in veterinary surgery and internal medicine in Ventura, CA. After working locally in general practice and emergency, Dr. Nguyen joined our team in the fall of 2007. He is an avid tennis player and also enjoys running and has recently taken up road biking.

Mandy Predmore, D.V.M.

Dr. Predmore is a central valley native, having grown up in Linden, CA. She attended Fresno state for her undergraduate work and then went on to UC Davis to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2011. She then completed a small animal emergency/specialty internship in Arizona. After that, she moved back to the central valley and started her career in small animal general practice, joining the Village Oak staff in 2015. Dr. Predmore has a strong interest in surgery, preventative medicine and behavior medicine. In 2016 she completed her certification in Fear Free Practice and enjoys helping her patients' visits be as pleasant as possible. Outside of the hospital Dr. Predmore enjoys spending time with her two and four-legged family members, baking, camping and crafting.

Amy Lacy, D.V.M

Dr. Amy Lacy, another Modesto native, graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and worked in Texas for several years before joining our team in July of 2004. In 2006, she took a leave of absence to pursue a unique opportunity to work in the veterinary hospital at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael. She then returned to work at College Veterinary Hospital in March of 2007, where she continued her career in veterinary medicine until July of 2017 , when she and her husband welcomed a baby girl into their lives. After an extended maternity leave, Dr Lacy returned to work in Nov. of 2018 at college vet which has now merged and become one with Village Oak. In her free time, Dr. Lacy enjoys breeding/showing golden retrievers, running, competing in agility, and country living with her daughter, husband, and their extended family of pets: 6 golden retrievers, 6 cats, a goat, ducks, geese, chickens, a turkey, 4 different kinds of tortoises, pond turtles, miniature pigs, fish and the latest addition, 2 Bordeaux homing pigeons.

Kristen Etchebarne, D.V.M.

Dr. Etchebarne was born and raised in Modesto and went on to Michigan State University to study Animal Science and Zoology. She returned to California and completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis in 2011. As a descendant of Basque sheepherders and cattle ranchers, Dr. Etchebarne considers her passion for both large and small animal medicine to run in her blood. When she’s not at Village Oak, you may find her teaching classes in the Veterinary Technician Program at Modesto Junior College, or as a practicing & consulting dairy veterinarian in the Central Valley. On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and horseback riding if there is any time leftover!

Dr. Ashley Caron-Brummel, DVM, CVA

Dr. Caron-Brummel is a Central Valley native who has spent the last ten years working with local veterinarians to improve the health of dogs, cats, horses, and livestock. Now, she is excited to return as a veterinarian to continue this mission. Dr. Caron-Brummel did her undergraduate work at UC Davis, graduating with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in Art History. She also became certified in Animal Massage while in a junior in college. After, she completed veterinary school also at UC Davis. During this time, Dr. Caron-Brummel earned her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute. Among Dr. Caron-Brummel’s many veterinary interests are sports medicine and lameness, integrative medicine, small animal surgery, and equine medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, painting, spending time traveling, horseback riding, and watching the Great British Baking Show. Some of her favorite moments are spent with her Golden Retriever/Great
Pyrenees dog, Hank; two rescue cats, Bucky and Foxy; loving husband, Ray; and wonderful family and friends.

Yedith Martinez, D.V.M

Dr. Martinez was born and raised in Napa Valley. She attended Napa Valley College and later transferred to Fresno State University, earning a BS in Animal Science. She later earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in the Caribbean. When not at work, Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with family, wine tasting in the valley, and working out.
